Orthodox Churches


ORTHODOX CHURCHES are a family of churches commonly known as the Eastern, Greek or Byzantine Churches with a small cluster known as the Oriental Churches. Their historical roots are found in the ancient Near East, eastern Europe, Africa and Asia. The 1991 census indicated that this family of churches was serving 23,540 people in BC, though the churches claim a much larger constituency.
