Pacific Coliseum


PACIFIC COLISEUM opened on the PNE grounds in east VANCOUVER on 8 Jan 1968 with the touring Ice Capades show. The arena was home to the VANCOUVER CANUCKS, then of the Western Hockey League. On 9 Oct 1970 the Canucks played their first NHL game there. The arena had a seating capacity of 16,500 but the largest crowd exceeded 19,000 for a 1972 concert by the Canadian-born rock singer Neil Young.
