Parson

PARSON, a LOGGING and former SAWMILLING community on the COLUMBIA R 35 km southeast of GOLDEN, is on Hwy 95 and the CPR. Prospectors still pan for GOLD at nearby Canyon Crk. It was named after Henry G. Parson, a Golden merchant, NEWSPAPER publisher and MLA in the early 1900s.
