PAULSON, a CPR flag station on McRae Crk 32 km northeast of GRAND FORKS in the W KOOTENAY, was named after the Paulson brothers, who operated a store, post office, hotel and stables here in the early 1900s. The station was originally called Bonanza Siding, as ore from the nearby Inland Empire & Bonanza mine was shipped at this point.
