Peter Principle


PETER PRINCIPLE, the famous dictum that members of a hierarchy are promoted to the level at which they become incompetent, was devised by Laurence Peter (b 16 Sept 1919, Vancouver; d 12 Jan 1990, Los Angeles, CA), a Vancouver schoolteacher and psychologist.
