PETERSON, Roy, cartoonist (b 14 Sept 1936, Winnipeg; d 30 Sept 2013). He moved to VANCOUVER at age 12 and, after graduating from high school, worked in department store advertising while attending art school at night. In 1962 he began his long career as editorial cartoonist for the VANCOUVER SUN. His work also appeared in Maclean's magazine and in major newspapers and magazines in the US and Britain.
