PHILLIPS, Floyd Eugene "Pan," rancher (b 13 Mar 1910, Pike City, IL; d 28 May 1983, Tsetzi Lk). He grew up on a farm in western Illinois and left home at age 16 to work his way around the West as a harvester and COWBOY. In 1934 he arrived in BC with Richmond HOBSON to begin ranching (see CATTLE INDUSTRY) 150 km north of ANAHIM LAKE in the BLACKWATER R area.
