PIGEON is a plump, medium-sized bird seen in urban parks and open fields. They strut about in flocks, their heads bobbing as they forage on the ground for seeds, nuts and BERRIES. The female lays only 1 or 2 eggs at a time but may produce as many as 4 broods in a year.
