PLASKETT, Joseph, artist (b 12 July 1918, New Westminster; d 21 Sept 2014, Suffolk, England). An internationally acclaimed painter, he lived mainly in Paris and England but continued to sell most of his work in Canada and retained many contacts with his native province. After graduating from UBC in 1938, he was encouraged in his painting by friendships with Lawren HARRIS and J.W.G. MACDONALD.
