POUCE COUPE () , village, pop 833 (2001), is in the PEACE R country, 10 km south of DAWSON CREEK. The name belonged to a SEKANI leader known to the early FUR TRADERS. It is located on a fertile prairie where the Dawson Crk flows into the Pouce Coupe R.
