Progress


PROGRESS, an AGRICULTURAL community 33 km west of DAWSON CREEK in the PEACE R district, was first settled in 1916 by the Rosenau and Kerr families. During a meeting to decide on a village name, the secretary of the school board reportedly noticed a watermark in his notepaper that spelled out the word progress.
