PUGET'S SOUND AGRICULTURAL COMPANY (PSAC) was established in 1839, separate from but affiliated with the HBC to engage in AGRICULTURE and stock raising (see CATTLE INDUSTRY) in the Columbia District of the HBC's fur-trading empire.
