Queens Bay

QUEENS BAY, a former steamship landing homesteaded in the 1890s by patriotic British immigrants, is today a recreational settlement on the west side of KOOTENAY LK, 30 km northeast of NELSON. The lovely community hall is a former ANGLICAN CHURCH, St Francis-in-the-Woods, constructed in 1915.
