RACETTE, Gordon Louis Joseph "Gordy," boxer and "tough guy" (b 28 June 1955, Prince Albert, SK). A NANAIMO bouncer, he dominated the Pacific Northwest "So You Think You're Tough?" circuit before Vancouver manager Tony Dowling encouraged him to enter pro BOXING in the early 1980s and declared him "Canada's new heavyweight sensation."
