REID, William Ronald "Bill," artist (b 12 Jan 1920, Victoria; d 13 Mar 1998, Vancouver). His mother was a HAIDA schoolteacher, his father an American-born hotelkeeper. Reid was raised in VICTORIA and northern BC. After finishing school he became a radio broadcaster, eventually for the CBC in eastern Canada.
