ROBERTS CREEK, pop 3,090 (2001), is an oceanside community on the SUNSHINE COAST, a few minutes north of GIBSONS, named for the pioneering Roberts family—father Thomas, mother Charlotte, and sons Will and Frank—who arrived in 1889. It was a grandson, Harry Roberts, who was most associated with the community, operating a SAWMILL, store and post office until he moved away in the 1920s.
