Robinson, John Moore

ROBINSON, John Moore, teacher, journalist, land developer (b 30 Dec 1855, Williamston County, ON; d 23 Feb 1934, Naramata). He was working as a schoolteacher when he moved west to Portage la Prairie, MB, where in 1882, he became editor of a local newspaper and founded a real estate company. Later he founded the Brandon Times newspaper and served as a Conservative member in the Manitoba legislature.
