ROCKINGHAM, John M., soldier (b 24 Aug 1911, Sydney, Australia; d 24 July 1987, Vancouver). At age 22 he enlisted in the Canadian Scottish Regiment and went overseas as a lieutenant with the regiment in 1941. In 1942 he transferred to the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry (RHLI) as a major.
