ROLSTON, Tilly Jean, politician (b 23 Feb 1887, Vancouver; d 12 Oct 1953, Vancouver). She was a schoolteacher briefly before she married, then a homemaker before entering politics in mid-life. First elected to the provincial legislature as a CONSERVATIVE for VANCOUVER–Point Grey in 1941, she was an early supporter of W.A.C. BENNETT and switched to SOCIAL CREDIT for the 1952 election.
