Rose Harbour


ROSE HARBOUR, on the north side of Kunghit Island, looks across Houston Stewart Channel at Moresby Island in the southern QUEEN CHARLOTTE ISLANDS. It was named in 1788 by a fur trader after George Rose, a British public figure. In 1910 the Pacific Whaling Co built a shore WHALING station at the site.
