Rosenblatt, Joe

ROSENBLATT, Joe, writer, visual artist (b 26 Dec 1933, Toronto; d 11 Mar 2019, Qualicum Beach). He left school in grade 10 and spent several years in a series of labouring jobs, notably for the CPR, until he took up writing full-time. He moved west to QUALICUM BEACH in 1980 and has lived there ever since. His writing is known for its wit and eccentricity. His first book of poems, The Voyage of the Mood, appeared in 1960, followed by more than a dozen others. Top Soil won a GOV GEN'S LITERARY...
