Scow, Alfred John

SCOW, Alfred John, jurist (b 10 Apr 1927, Alert Bay;d 26 Feb 2013, Vancouver). His father, William Scow, was a prominent KWAKWAKA'WAKW chief and his mother, Alice Whonnock, was the daughter of chiefs. He began working in commercial FISHING when he was in his teens, while at the same time attending high school and then university.
