SEABOARD LUMBER SALES was established in 1935 to act as an overseas sales agent for the Association of Timber Exporting Companies (Astexo), a consortium of the province's large SAWMILLING companies. From its inception, Seaboard engaged in fierce competition with BC's largest independent exporting company, H.R.
