Seton Portage


SETON PORTAGE is a tiny community between SETON and ANDERSON lakes, 65 km east of LILLOOET in the COAST MTS. Originally named Seton Lake, it was the site of the first railway in BC, built in 1861 on wooden rails between the lakes as part of the old DOUGLAS TRAIL. The portage was created about 10,000 years ago when a LANDSLIDE divided the original lake into 2.
