Silver


SILVER is a precious metal used in PHOTOGRAPHIC processes and in a variety of industrial and decorative products. It has been mined in BC since the 1890s, sometimes from galena ores but mainly as a by-product of treating lead–ZINCCOPPER and GOLD ores. In 2010 revenue from BC silver production totalled $416 million, making it the third most valuable metallic mineral after copper and zinc.
