SIMONS INTERNATIONAL CORP, BC's largest engineering firm, was founded in VANCOUVER in 1944 as H.A. Simons by Howard Simons, son of an American engineer. The company expanded its initial involvement in the FOREST INDUSTRY to become active around the world in a wide variety of projects. In 1999 it was bought by Agra Inc of Oakville, ON, which then merged with Amec Inc, a large international project management company based in London, Eng.
