SPARROW DECISION was a legal case with profound implications for ABORIGINAL RIGHTS in BC. Ronald Sparrow, an elder of the X'muzk'i'um (MUSQUEAM) First Nation in VANCOUVER, was charged in May 1984 with FISHING with an illegal net.
