STEWART, Hilary M., writer, artist (b 3 Nov 1924, St Lucia, West Indies; d 5 June 2014, Campbell River). After graduating from art school in London, England, in 1951 she came to Canada and worked as a designer and art director. In 1972 she left her job as art director for BCTV in VANCOUVER and turned full time to WRITING and illustrating books about Northwest Coast aboriginal culture.
