Straight, Leland Robert "Lee"

STRAIGHT, Leland Robert "Lee," journalist, outdoors enthusiast (b 15 Sept 1915, Vancouver; d there 31 Dec 2003). He was educated at UBC, and for 33 years he was FISHING and outdoors editor for the VANCOUVER SUN. An avid sports fisher and hunter with many trophy catches, he left the Sun to become recreational fisheries adviser and anglers' ombudsman for the federal government from 1979 to 1985. He was president of the Totem Flyfishers, BC's first FLY FISHING club, and of the STEELHEAD Society...
