Swallow

SWALLOW is a small perching bird with long pointed wings and a forked tail. It is an adept flyer and spends most of its time in the air, chasing the INSECTS that form the bulk of its diet. Swallows often nest in colonies and mass in flocks on branches and roadside wires, especially just prior to their southward migration in the fall.
