Swangard, Erwin Michael

SWANGARD, Erwin Michael, journalist, sports supporter (b 11 May 1908, Munich, Germany; d 5 May 1993, Vancouver). He came to Canada as a young man in 1930 and began freelance sports reporting in Saskatoon, where from 1936 to 1944 he was on the permanent staff of the Star-Phoenix newspaper.
