Tatla Lake

TATLA LAKE, pop 123, lies halfway between WILLIAMS LAKE and BELLA COOLA on the Chilcotin Hwy (#20) in the west CHILCOTIN. Ranching began here about 1890. Bob Graham, a pioneer, purchased the ranch in 1902 and over the years a post office, school, community hall and nursing station were added to the community. The Graham ranch house, built in 1930, is now the Graham Inn, and caters to highway travellers.
