TEAGUE, John, architect (b 3 June 1835, Cornwall, England; d Oct 1902, Victoria). Lured to N America by the promise of finding GOLD, he erected mine buildings during the California gold rush and in 1859 ventured north (see GOLD RUSH, CARIBOO).
