TECK RESOURCES LTD is a VANCOUVER mining company with roots going back to Teck-Hughes Gold Mines Ltd, operators of a mine at Kirkland Lake, ON, from 1917 to 1968. Through mergers and acquisitions it became a diversified MINING enterprise whose BC interests include a smelter in Trail, Highland Valley Copper and coal mines in the Elk Valley.
