TENTA, John, wrestler (b 22 June 1963, Surrey; d 7 June 2006, Sanford, FA). When he visited Japan with his SURREY high school WRESTLING team, he impressed coaches there and was invited to train in the Japanese sumo stable. As an amateur he was Canadian junior champion and won the 1983 world junior title, Canada's first international gold medal in wrestling.
