Trans-Canada Trail


TRANS-CANADA TRAIL, when it is completed by 2017, will run more than 22,000 km from VICTORIA to St John's, NF, with a second leg reaching north through Alberta and the Yukon to Tuktoyaktuk near the mouth of the Mackenzie R. As of 2011, more than 16,500 km were completed, making it already the world's longest pathway. The BC section, about 1,750 km long, was three-quarters completed by 2011.
