TREKKA was the first small Canadian yacht to circle the world. Laurent Giles designed the 6.25-m wooden yawl and John Guzzwell, a British immigrant, built it behind a fish and chip shop in VICTORIA, outfitting it with a 4-hp motor and cotton sails.
