TRUCK LOGGERS' ASSOCIATION (TLA) was founded in NANAIMO in 1941 by a group of small, independent coastal loggers. Using the new technology of motor trucks and inexpensive gas-powered LOGGING equipment, truck loggers had become a major force in the coastal logging industry during the 1930s.
