Tynehead

TYNEHEAD, originally Tinehead, was an AGRICULTURAL community 13 km southeast of NEW WESTMINSTER in SURREY. It was first known as Bothwell Settlement after the 3 Bothwell brothers, who arrived in the 1880s, but was renamed after Tyne, their Scottish home. LOGGING was important until about 1910. The area is the site of a SALMON hatchery and Surrey's largest regional park.
