VALEMOUNT  () , village, pop 1,018 (2006), is located near the north end of KINBASKET LK, 278 km east of PRINCE GEORGE. Named to describe its location in the mountains, it began as a CNR station in 1927 and was originally known as Swift Creek. It was incorporated in 1962.
