VAN DUSEN, Whitford Julian, lumberman, philanthropist (b 18 July 1899, Tara, ON; d 15 Dec 1978, Vancouver). He was educated at the Univ of Toronto, from which he graduated in 1912 with a degree in forestry. After a brief stint working for the federal Forest Branch, he joined the BC FOREST SERVICE and was appointed Vancouver district forester in 1915.
