VANARSDOL, a GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY station on the SKEENA R, 8 km northeast of TERRACE, was named after C.C. van Arsdol, a GTP divisional engineer. Many residents of Kitselas moved to this site after the railway had been constructed through KITSELAS CANYON, and the TSIMSHIAN community here became known as New Kitselas.
