VANCOUVER ART GALLERY (VAG) opened at its original site on Georgia St in downtown VANCOUVER on 5 Oct 1931. Years of work had been done by an organizing committee led by Henry A. Stone, a Vancouver businessman, who with Charles H. SCOTT chose the 113 works that formed the first permanent collection.
