View Royal

VIEW ROYAL, town, pop 8,768 (2006), is a residential suburb of VICTORIA about 6 km west of the capital overlooking ESQUIMALT Harbour. First settled by Dr John HELMCKEN in the 1850s, it was incorporated in 1988.
