WALTERS, Lisa, golfer (b Jan 1960, Prince Rupert). After winning the BC amateur GOLF championship 3 times, she turned professional and qualified for the LPGA tour in 1983. Her first victories were at the 54-hole Hawaiian Open in 1992 and 1993. In 1998 she overcame career-threatening injuries to tie the all-time LPGA scoring record with a 23-under-par 265 over 72 holes to win the Oldsmobile Classic in East Lansing, MI.
