WEST FRASER TIMBER CO LTD began in 1955 when the Ketcham family acquired a small planing mill at QUESNEL. Over the next 25 years the company steadily acquired SAWMILLS and related timber-cutting rights in the Interior and developed a chain of retail building-supply stores.
