WOOD, Frederic Gordon Campbell, academic, theatre pioneer (b 26 Jan 1887, Victoria; d 3 June 1976, Vancouver). He graduated from McGill Univ in 1910, and after completing a Master's degree at Harvard Univ he joined the UBC faculty in 1915, the first BC-born faculty member of the newly named institution.
