WYMAN, Max, critic, writer (b 14 May 1939, Wellingborough, England). He arrived in VANCOUVER in 1967 from London and got a job as a journalist with the VANCOUVER SUN newspaper. Along with writing arts criticism for the Sun he became a leading authority on Canadian ballet, about which he has written 3 books: The Royal Winnipeg Ballet: The First Forty Years; Dance Canada: An Illustrated History; and Evelyn Hart: An Intimate Portrait.
