Aero (53˚03'05" 131˚57'35" N side of Gillatt Arm, Cumshewa Inlet, NE side of Moresby I, QCI). A P Allison established the QCI’s only railway logging camp here in 1936. It became an important supplier of Sitka or “airplane” spruce and was taken over during WWII by a Crown corporation named Aero Timber. The Powell R Co acquired the operation after the war at a giveaway price and ran the railway until 1955. The camp was abandoned by 1967, and all that remained by the 1990s were the ruins...
