Akre Rocks

Akre Rocks (50˚32'00" 127˚38'00" N of Drake I, Quatsino Sd, N Vancouver I). The correct spelling of this Quatsino pioneer’s name is Ole Aakre (1865–1932), though Akre appears on his official land documents and on his death certificate. He was from Norway, one of a group of Scandinavian colonists who settled on Quatsino Sd in 1895 and received Crown grants there (his are dated 1901 and 1916).
